The revolutionary Nintendo Wii console

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

The Nintendo Wii has done surprisingly well in the last couple of years, and sales are of course expected to jump before christmas time. Many predicted (after Nintendo’s disastrous Gamecube console) that the Wii would flop completely - the name had a lot of bad feedback, and it’s nothing like any other gaming console. But it turns out that many people like it. One of the things contributing to its success is the range of Wii Games available. There are several pretty good titles, including the new Zelda game. When you buy a Wii, you usually get Nintendo’s “Wii Sports” collection of games, which includes golf, tennis and more. These are designed to be played mostly with friends and can be a lot of fun.

The thing that really sets the Wii apart is the Wii Remote, which isn’t like any normal controller at all. It is able to detect your own motion and display it on screen. When you move to the right in real life, your character will move to the right on the TV screen. It is able to do this due to motion sensors that come with the Wii console. The controller still has the standard buttons, but the design is just like a rectangle, and you only hold it with one hand. You would think that this would make it very difficult to play Wii Video Games like Mario and Zelda, but it is still possible, and these games are of course selling quite well. You can pick up a Wii and games for a good price at your local game store.

Getting to work from home as a Self Employed VA

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Don’t panic if you lose your job and working as a Virtual or Home Worker is suddenly thrust upon you because you have lost your job or you need a second income, all is not lost. I started that way in 2000 and am still working via the Internet though spending more time helping others get started in the current climate. I hope the following will help you get going - all you need is a PC and some good office, PA or secretarial skills. Any extra skills such as translation, medical or legal knowledge will get you there even faster.}

Planning your way out of disaster:

You may well be in a panic, running around not knowing what to do or who to pay next. Sit down with a sheet of paper and write down everything you are good at. If you have ever had or looked after children, organisation should be at the top of your list. Use that knowledge to organise a skills sheet and who you know who could use those skills.

There are many sites that have been set up to get Virtual Assistants started but make sure you don’t spend hundreds of dollars before you even start. In debt is not a good way to start. A useful free site on how to become a Virtual Assistant is  http://www.iceni-it.co.uk/becoming_a_va.htm Although based in the UK the 4500+ members come from all over the world.

Here is an example of how you should be thinking and acting:

If your only skill apart from organisation is copy typing - well find your nearest college or university and advertise that skill. Put up flyers with your phone number on tear off strips at the bottom. You will probably get your hand bitten off. If you can do transcription, phone the organisation and ask if you can send in a resume of your skills and abilities and if possible arrange a meeting. Holidays and flu will be arriving soon so they may well need extra help and someone local that they know can do the work could be a life saver

Repeat the above example for every skill you have. You may only get a maybe but the more maybe’s you get increases your chance of getting work soon.

Non traditional Home Worker Jobs:

Having a lot of experience is important but in the beginning you may find that it is hard and slow to get work. Whenever I am having work problems I write articles and put them on the Internet. I get paid a small sum if they sell or not but a good sum if they sell. Now how do you learn to write articles? You go Google and do a search for article writing or how to write articles and you will find masses of free information.

Many people say that these firms are not safe. Well I have been doing this for some time and have found that I can earn enough to get by and enjoy the change. A review of this type of work can be found at www.webcolleagues.info. There is also a home typing scheme attached if you enjoy copy typing.

Doing the dirty work:

This may seem a strange heading but in many cases you will be given the work to do that no-one else wants to do. Most Virtual Assistants decide early on that they would do anything they could, that was legal to earn money to pay the bills. These times do not last long as you prove your worth to the person paying you. Think ahead and try to be pro-active. Don’t just do a boring job with a frown on your face and wish you were back in your cubicle. You have the advantages of the freedom of working for yourself so a little bit of downside is not the end of the world.

Getting paid for the work you do - ensure you have a booking form or contract:

When you start working for clients, make sure you have a signed and detailed booking form or contract. Not everything always goes to plan and you want to ensure that you get paid for what you do. Don’t allow yourself to be bullied and always. Always. think of your safety if you are asked to go and meet clients. It is best not to meet them in your house or theirs. Choose a nice open area or a hotel reception and have the meeting there.

Organise your business from the word go:

Part of your organisation skills should include your finances. Work out how much it will cost you per hour to work before you make a profit. Go along to your nearest government Small Business centre and talk to them. Get your booking form or contract checked out and see if there is any money that you can get for starting up. You may also be offered courses on taxation, health and safety and in some areas complete courses on using standard software.

New Times Ahead:

Things are changing rapidly in the world of work. You must be professional as you will be up against Virtual Assistants and Home Workers who have been working from home for many years. A recent estimate was that this recession could last another 5 years. Start as you mean to go on. Professional and hard working and you will build a business that will keep you now and in the future. This is the era of the Small Business and they all need flexible versatile support to help them achieve their success.

I hope I have inspired you to check out how to become a Virtual Assistant and get a job working from home. Running your own business and being your own boss can give you a terrific feeling of freedom, as well as a higher income.

Keep looking forward.

Di.

How To Build Your Downline Fast In Any MLM Program!

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Massive success in any MLM home business program requires that you build a large ‘downline’ of motivated representatives. While you should always work steadily and consistently to recruit new people into your network, you also need to know how to build your downline fast.

This is especially true when you are just starting out. The number one reason most people fail to profit from legitimate network marketing opportunities is that they don’t know how to build their downline quickly enough. Your downline holds the key to your profits.

So, what is the quickest way to build your downline?

The fastest, most effective approach is to use the Internet to generate leads! In other words, you can combine on-line, direct-marketing tactics with any MLM program. All you need is a web site and a good e-mail lead capture program.

It sounds almost too easy, right? Let’s take a look at the basic concept, then the steps involved, and you’ll see why this works.

The Basic Concept: On-line Recruitment is Easier

In the ‘old’ days of multi-level-marketing, you had to do a lot of footwork off-line. Selling products and recruiting new representatives required hunting down ‘leads’ wherever and however you could. Often, this meant trying to recruit friends or family, going door-to-door, hosting seminars, etc…

Doing it that way is a lot of hard work!

The Internet, however, completely revolutionizes the process of finding people who will be interested in your products, and in the work home mlm business opportunity itself. This is because the Internet allows you to target the people who are already searching for a good online network marketing opportunity to join.

Also, because you’ll be following up with leads via e-mail, you get plenty of opportunity to persuade and convert them into active members of your team. You’ll even be able to educate them and keep them motivated so that they’ll build their downlines fast, too!

So, what are the steps in promoting an MLM the ‘direct-marketing’ way?

1. Get your own website address, and set up a ‘lead capture page’.

2. Send targeted traffic to that page.

3. Follow up with collected leads via autoresponder.

4. Track your ‘conversions’. You can create a separate e-mail list dedicated solely to members of your downline, and ask them to opt-in to it. Use this special downline-only list to teach your recruits how to set up their own lead capture pages.

The above four steps are at the heart of the method for building your downline as fast as possible.

Obviously, you’ll need to acquire certain skills - like building web pages, learning how to use an autoresponder, etc. - if you don’t already have them. This is more than can be covered here, but you can find plenty of help on-line for free. Just go to your favorite search engine and do a search for “internet marketing forums”.

Make sure you get this whole process automated, and you can duplicate it for any MLM program you’re involved in!

Paralegal Jobs - Parlegal Employment in a Down Market

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Paralegal jobs that are flexible can be found in many areas. For instance, lawyers who work on their own or who have started new offices find the extra support offered by freelance paralegal employment quite helpful. It can be expensive to hire a full-time paralegal to work, especially if there isn’t enough work to keep the paralegal busy all the time. Law firms will post paying positions, so finding the best meta job search board that post all jobs on the internet from thousands of career sites is the best and fastest way to find new paralegal work. One of the best search engines to find paralegal jobs is form Paralegal Jobs.net.

Legal assistants at this level are also called upon to produce interrogatories and discovery requests for an attorney¹s review. Other activities include assisting in the preparation of trial-related motions. Growth in the legal sector is due in part to an emphasis on corporate cost-cutting that may reduce the number of new attorney positions that are available outside of private law firms.

Requirements include a mature sense of accountability and judgment, desire for professional growth, flexibility to work overtime and travel as necessary, and ability to be a self starter and produce work that can be used on the first pass. Duties vary at discretion of the employer.

Experienced and formally trained paralegals have the best employment opportunities. If you are looking for a paralegal degree or criminal justice degree, you can find many schools that offer online classes. Insurance companies, banks, real estate agencies and title insurance firms are now hiring paralegals. Experienced paralegals also might be looking to change jobs. This article will assist both new and experienced paralegals in drafting resumes and cover letters that will be concise but comprehensive and appealing but not overwhelming to prospective employers.

Tips for Wearing a Climbing Harness Correctly

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Any true blue rock climber will tell you that your climbing harness is one of the essential pieces of equipment that most climbers will use during any climbing adventures. Not only will your climbing harness be used to connect you to certain pieces of necessary gear along the way of your climb, but a climbing harness will be one of the most important factors in keeping you safe in the event of a fall. If your climbing harness is too tight, you’ll have problems climbing since your movements will be greatly restricted. Alternately, if your harness is too loose, your harness will slip, chafe, and could possibly even let go of you. Knowing how your climbing harness should fit is a great way to help keep you safe, and have the best climb possible.

A simple way to think about it is that just as a pair of jeans fits differently on different people who try them on, so the same climbing harness will not work for every person. Be sure to try on several different types of harnesses so that you can find one that fits comfortably. Here are a few other tips and pointers for learning how a harness should fit you.

Step One - Look at the Waistband

Fitting the waistband correctly for yourself is important. The waistband of your harness should be snug, but not uncomfortable. It should ride just above your hipbones, not so tight that it should interfere with your breathing, but tight enough that you can’t pull the harness down over your hips no matter how hard to try. Children and adults with narrower hips should probably stay away from the more conventional harnesses and instead stick with a more full body harness.

Step Two - Fitting the Leg Loops

While the waistband is important, the leg loops of your rock climbing harness are another important factor to consider. The leg loops on your climbing harness should also be snug, but not to the point of being uncomfortably so. Wearing the leg loops too tightly or even too loose could result in an painful injury in the event of a fall, and even trouble cliimbing if they are too tight. If your leg loops are adjustable, their webbing straps should be long enough for you to double them back through their buckles with at least 2 inches left over.

When you are choosing a climbing harness, make sure that you are wearing the kinds of clothes that you will be climbing in. Be very careful when fitting a seat harness (which is one of the most popular kinds of harnesses). As I’ve already explained, when a harness is too large, the harness may slide up onto your lower ribs, compressing your diaphragm and leaving you gasping for air, or worse, made slide off during a fall. But a harness that is too small will squeeze you too tightly, making climbing an uncomfortable sport for you.

Now that you know what to look for when shopping for climbing harnesses, you can be aware of the fitting requirements to help you to both stay comfortable during the climb, as well as being a great piece of protection.

How I found a new SEO company

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Managing a businesses travel company in Salisbury I realised that it was way overdue a redesign as the original looked dated. For web design Salisbury I called a web design business, and they walked me through options that I could use to make the site work best for the business. Their major emphasis being what I wanted to achieve from the site and offering solutions that could achieve my end results.

SEO Salisbury also told me that if individuals or companies couldn’t find my website through the search engines I was losing out on a fantastic business tool. search engine optimisation UK is one of the essential services that a website can employ and for search engine optimisation UK this search engine optimisation company was great. Talking me through changes I might make to my existing website to advance it and comparing costs with an entire re-design was really useful as it provided me with a rational view of what to expect.

What I hadn’t understood before speaking to the web design company just outside of Salisbury was the fact that search engine optimisation was a continuous task, where people are relentlessly working to push there website to the top of there particular category. What this meant was that the search engine team works to ensure that the phrases I want to show highly for, come in at the top of the search engines. An example was mentioned that of their customers that had SEO work, the gap to number of visitors was 14 times that of those that didn’t have any.

Affiliate Marketing Via Review Sites

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

The most profitable method I have for generating income online is by selecting a product from Clickbank and creating a one-page review site for that product.  I learned, and follow, this method from a product that many of you have probably heard about - Day Job Killer.  This method is easy to follow and implement and absolutely produces results.  I have about 15 sites that follow the method that Chris is promoting with his product and each of them bring in a nice steady income for me.

Just as with pretty much everything I do :), I did not follow Chris’s advice completely… I set up the review portion based on what he teaches in the ebook, but I also implemented my Definitive SEO Traffic Guide to really explode the sales.  See, Chris teaches you how to get into the Pay Per Click market (mostly Google Adwords) and while his method is a great way to limit your losses and really increase you sales, I still like to get natural search engine traffic.  Maybe it is that I love SEO and playing around with my sites to get top placement in the search engines… it is addicting (for me anyway)!  But, if you wanted, you could just follow Chris’s plan.

If you want to get into affiliate marketing and start making some good money with review sites, I highly recommend following Day Job Killer with the addition of following my Search Engine Optimization Training Guide together these make a great combination for a residual monthly income!  As with any method, yes, you must complete the work, but if you do, this method pays for itself over and over and over.  I have sites that have been online for almost a year and a half following this method and I do nothing with them but watch Clickbank deposit money into my bank account every two weeks… yes, it is fun :)

There are other types of review sites as well, such as a blanket review site that reviews all kinds of various products in one market.  For example, say you create a review site in the baby market, you may review products such as:

Baby Names
Getting a Baby to Sleep
Conquering Colic
Potty Training
Natural Baby Health
etc.

I have tried these types of review sites in a couple of different markets over the years, including internet marketing, but I personally did not have very good results with them.  They are more work than the one-page review method described above and I simply never saw any type of income worth talking about… maybe $50 - $100 per month, but when you can create a one-page review site that is pulling in $250, $500 a month, the extra work involved in a “blanket” style review site isn’t worth it for me.  If there are people reading this blog that have had better results, please share your experience with us.  If this method can be successful I’m sure we’d all love to hear about it!

If you like this article and would like to discuss it, please post a comment or question on my blog at www.ShannonLueck.com.

Payday loans - the pluses and minuses

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Payday loans can be useful for helping you get through a temporary cash crunch. Your car breaks down and you do not have transportation to get to office. And getting to office is essential if you are to continue getting that paycheck.

In such situations, payday loans can be lifesavers. However, they should be used with caution.

The loan period is quite short — typically a couple of weeks to three weeks. Basically, these loans are meant to tide you over till your next payday. And in most cases, the amount borrowed is just a few hundred dollars.

Getting these loans is fairly easy. You write a check for the amount of the loan plus a fee stipulated by the lender. This check is given to the lender and when you are ready to repay the loan, they just cash the check.

One of the attractions of a these loans is that they are often available even to those who have poor credit scores — they function as short-term bad credit loans to help meet an emergency.

Payday loans carry a high interest rate. The APRs are often 400%++. That’s astonishingly high. However, if you are only borrowing a few hundred dollars, the absolute amount of the interest won’t be much provided you repay on the due date.

Therein lies the problem with a payday advance — you do NOT have to repay on due date (usually). You can choose to roll over the loan. And that is where the danger starts.

Once you roll over a loan, you are charged fresh fees, often at a rate higher than what applied to the original loan. If you keep rolling over the loan, the fees accumulate — very rapidly.

And before you know it, you are neck deep in debt with no visible way out.

This is why payday loans should be used only as short term borrowings. As long as you repay the loan at your next payday, the risk you face is limited. If not, you face an open-ended liability that can lead to serious financial problems.

Stop chasing visitors - make them come to you

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

A well known saying states “Content is king”. That’s true. But only the successful online marketers use content to provide value to their visitors. That’s the key - providing valuable information.

You may argue, like most do, you are not able to write quality content. You have nothing new to add that has any value. That’s wrong.

Take a few minutes, do a Google search on a term like best business for work at home moms. Check a couple of the pages returned by the search engine. Evalute the content. I bet they basicly contain the same information. It may not be presented the same way and the context may be different. You may find some interesting, while others have no appeal to you.

A work at home mom will probably not use internet to look for a business opportunity. She may want to contribute her share to the family economy to secure childrens education or to afford a family vacation.

If you write about how an online business could be the solution she is looking for, you would probably turn on her interest. The point is a successful online marketer will package his message in a context and with a voice he knows will resonate with the selected target audience. Then he don’t have to chase after visitors - the visitors will find him.

You can do that too. Your life is lived only by you - nobody else. Your experiences are yours only. On this background you can present the same information everybody else is presenting, but in a context and with a voice that is unique to you.

If your aim is to sell an online business for work at home moms your content should talk about anything but your aim. If she can relate to your experiences she will prefer your story to anybody elses. If not - well, you would never know she even visited your site.

Build Web Site Traffic First

Author: InfoFanatic - Categories: General Interest

Build web site traffic first and then a business.

This may not work in the offline business world, but online a person can actually build web site traffic first and then build a business. In fact, this is the ideal route!

Who doesn’t desire success? It may seem peculiar to ask that question. Yet most of the people seeking to make money and build a business online will never achieve success. They’ll dream about it. They’ll talk about it. But most of them won’t possess it. And that’s a shame.

Why is that? Because most people don’t get it; traffic is the most essential ingredient to selling online. And even more notable, ongoing daily traffic is it.

The norm; search the Internet for how to make money online. Human nature will attract you to the latest product, service, idea or scheme. You then spend the next 6 to 24 months promoting it (you try others as well) through various advertising programs. At the end of the day, similar to purchasing a lottery ticket and checking the numbers after the drawing, you come to realize that the game is over and you’ve lost.

I plead with you, stop doing business this way. This is not how you build a successful Internet business. This is not the lottery. You don’t stop at the corner convenience store on the way home, buy a ticket, and then wait for success to strike. Nor is it a magical place you find through some secret map presented in the latest e-book. It’s a traffic thing - you either got it or you don’t.

I challenge you to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. Spend time today to think about your business, your goals, and what you are currently doing. Reflect and evaluate and then make adjustments.

The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going.

In our early online days, we turned 100% of our focus to building traffic. This has proven to be our best and smartest move. Today, armed with a substantial amount of ongoing daily traffic, we make sales everyday.
